Energising SMEs & startups across Sri Lanka since 2016
We advise small and medium businesses and startups on process improvement, efficiency, financial strategy and feasibility — studying how work and money actually move through a business, then setting out a clear case for what to change.
Areas of practice
Six areas, one method: observe how the business actually runs today, document it properly, then design and test a better way before it becomes the standard.
We study how work is currently performed — through on-site observation, staff interviews and workflow mapping — to identify bottlenecks, duplication and steps that add no value. Findings are set out as current-state and proposed future-state process maps, and recommended changes are trialled on a small scale before being rolled out and written up as the new standard procedure.
We run time-and-motion assessments and resource-utilisation reviews across key operational areas, benchmarking current performance against defined efficiency measures. From that analysis we design a practical improvement programme — reallocating tasks, resequencing work, or introducing simple tools — and track results against agreed KPIs once it's in place.
We review cash flow patterns, pricing structures and cost drivers to see where financial performance can improve, then model the likely impact of different options. Recommendations on capital structure, investment choices and ongoing financial controls are presented in a clear, decision-ready format.
For businesses starting out or formalising their operations, we document standard operating procedures, define roles and reporting lines, and set up the basic controls and record-keeping a growing business needs. Each procedure is drafted, trialled with the team doing the work, and refined before it's adopted as the way things are done.
We gather and analyse market, cost and operational data to assess whether a proposed venture, product or capital project stacks up, building a financial model that tests different scenarios and assumptions. The resulting feasibility report sets out the findings, the risks and a clear recommendation, so capital is only committed once the case has been properly tested.
We maintain statutory and management accounts, reconcile records and prepare the periodic reports a business needs for decision-making, compliance or audit. The processes for recording and reviewing financial data are documented and kept consistent, so reporting stays accurate as the business grows.
Engagement
A short initial conversation to understand your business, the problem, and whether we're the right fit.
We review the relevant numbers and processes — including site visits and direct observation where it's useful — then set out a clear scope, timeline and fee before any commitment.
We implement the agreed changes alongside your team, document the new procedures, and monitor results against agreed measures before handing everything over for you to run on your own.
